When I was a kid I can remember people referring to Boulder Dam, which is now called Hoover Dam as a point of reference. Hoover Dam created Lake Mead near Boulder City. The Museum tells the story of the Boulder Canyon in the 1930 era. Old photographs and artifacts grace the walls in this highly interactive arena. Well worth a visit. Tickets are $2 and $1 for students and children. Open Monday-Saturday, 10am to 5pm - Sunday, 12pm to 5 pm.
